Parry and Rosenthal have been selected to design
The five new science classrooms will be designed to modernise the existing science facilities and provide students and staff with exciting new learning opportunities. With the project now in the planning stage, construction is expected to start in January 2021 with completion anticipated for January 2022.
This project is part of the McGowan Government’s WA Recovery Plan and is expected to create nine new jobs for Western Australians.
“I’m sure the Greenwood College community will join in my enthusiasm that the $2.4 million upgrades project is progressing with an architect now appointed. I look forward to seeing the designs that Parry and Rosenthal come up with,” Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery said.
“Students and staff will benefit from upgrades to modernise five science classrooms and a total refurbishment for the college cafeteria. I am thrilled to see this project progressing and looking forward to seeing a modern, first-class science facility serving the future generations of our community,” Kingsley MLA Jessica Stojkovski said.
Architects appointed to design upgrades for science classrooms and refurbish the cafeteria at Greenwood College. The new science classrooms will provide specialist facilities for students in Years 7-12. The project will create nine jobs for local workers. The construction expected to start in January 2021.
