The Role
The City of Port Lincoln is seeking a part time Customer Service Officer to provide Library customer service and drive the Port Lincoln Library outreach service.
This role requires you to assists in developing the library service as a leading resource and facility for our community in a responsive and inclusive manner, enabling customers to access the Library services via the Library Outreach Program
- Permanent Part Time Position
- Part Time, 42 hours per fortnight
- City of Port Lincoln Enterprise Bargaining Agreement
- Classification Criteria Level 2
- Salary $59,161.00 per annum (pro rata)
- Additional 3% superannuation above standard superannuation guarantee of 9.5%
Key objectives of the role include, but not limited to:
- Provide an essential and high level of professional library customer service
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Port Lincoln Library outreach service
- Provide library services in accordance with South Australian libraries’ One Card network guidelines
- Contribute to developing the library as a community leader in promoting the benefit and joy of reading and the essential role of the library in our society
- Registering library customers to become members of the Library – accessing resources, services available through the One Card network
- Supporting customers to gain information, knowledge and services in a positive, efficient and effective manner and in accordance with policies, standards and procedures of the Port Lincoln Library (part of the SA Public Libraries Network)
- Engage and interact with library customers in a professional and positive way
- Providing library resources and services in a professional manner
- Actively participate in daily library circulation duties and work cooperatively with colleagues
