Manager – People, Culture and Safety Local Government

$2,559.50 to $2,769.60 plus superannuation Tamworth & North West NSW

About the Job:

Reporting directly to the Director, Corporate and Governance you will be responsible for driving the coordination and management of the Division functions.

 

Key duties will include:

 

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for human resources operations across Council:
    • Recruitment
    • Learning and Development
    • Injury Management
    • General HR advice
  • Develop opportunities for alternative models of operations and cultural changes within the region;
  • Manage the Council’s health and well-being function; and
  • Manage Council’s Risk and Safety functions including WH&S, Quality and Environmental factors.

 

To be successful you will bring to this position:

  • Significant demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic plans
  • A strong and practical understanding of human resource management
  • Strong project planning and management skills
  • Experience in preparing and controlling operational budgets
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team of operational staff
  • A dedicated and committed approach to delivering outstanding services
