Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) was established to deliver a multi-billion-dollar pipeline of key road projects across Victoria, including new roads, road widenings, new bridges and major freeway upgrades. MRPV manages complex and strategically important road projects from business case development through to completion connecting local communities and supporting Victoria’s growing economy.

 

The Role

As Project Manager, you will support the planning and delivery of major complex transport infrastructure, whilst assisting strategic direction and management of collaborative stakeholder relationships. You will be responsible for key aspects of project activities which include project scoping, feasibility, design and development, procurement, delivery and commissioning within the designated specific scope, time and budget.

This is a 12-Month fixed-term position.

 

About You

  • Extensive project management expertise acquired in delivering major infrastructure, or engineering projects, including achievement in the delivery of projects within the scheduled timeframe, scope and budget, optimising safety, environmental impacts and maintainability.
  • Proven achievement in the development and implementation of project delivery frameworks, in line with standards and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct and influence multi-disciplinary teams, consultants and contractors, in the management of tendering and works contracts to achieve project objectives.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills, particularly in the area of project risks.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in developing and maintaining a ‘safety first’ culture.
  • Ability to apply professional expertise and commercial understanding in the mitigation of risk and provide appropriate advice and recommendations to senior management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the capacity to listen, motivate and empower to deliver on project objectives.
