The primary purpose of the role
You will provide a range of project management and continuous improvement support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects in line with established business objectives to manage optimum relief teacher supply and demand. You will also be responsible for the management of vendors and coordinating procurement processes that relate to assigned projects.

We will trust you to:

  • Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within the agreed scope.
  • Liaise with procurement and internal stakeholders to source vendor(s) and manage onboarding to meet relief teacher staffing needs for schools.
  • Undertake research to identify a wide range of supplier options to support procurement planning and decision making aspects of the assigned projects.
  • Coordinate preparation of requests for proposals, assist with vendor evaluation and selection process to ensure vendor choice selected meets business requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain reporting, monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure accessibility of quality information and to track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables.
  • Communicate with key internal and external stakeholders and facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans.
  • Compile and analyse data sources and information to identify emerging issues and trends on supply and demand activities of relief teacher workforce planning to support informed decision-making and planning.
  • Provide support in the implementation of project change management activities to assist achieve the project’s desired goals and outcomes.

We are seeking candidates with:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and /or equivalent relevant workplace experience.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the department’s Aboriginal education policies
