The opportunity

We have an opportunity for two legal Project Support Officers to be a part of the Sydney Metro legal team. These positions plays a key role in providing high level project support to the Sydney Metro legal practice through legal matter administration, managing distribution lists and correspondence, diary, calendar and meeting coordination, general administrative support to Legal Counsel, maintaining internal team registers, facilitating approvals and managing a fully integrated documentation management system. These roles liaise with a variety of internal & external stakeholders daily and report to the Legal Business Coordinator.

 

These roles supports a high volume and fast paced legal team providing comprehensive matter administration that includes maintaining an internal legal matter management system, monitoring and tracking matter finances, document and file management, adhering to matter engagement procedures, raising purchase orders, goods receipting invoices and a variety of ad hoc administrative and support duties as required.

 

These roles may at times undertake research, collate information and formulate source data for the production of reports, including performance statistics and trends to support informed decision making and planning.

 

We are looking for an experienced Project Support Officers or Legal Administrators who have experience working on a large project or in a legal practice environment.

Essential requirements 
Relevant qualifications in Office/Business Administration, Secretarial/Personal Assistant studies or a related discipline or equivalent experience

 

Familiarity with the across government legal services panel is an advantage but not essential.
