About the Role
To assess, plan, implement and evaluate a variety of individualised recreational activities to the residents at Redland Residential Care in collaboration with the clinical team

• Participate in recreational and lifestyle activities research studies as appropriate and utilise research finding in the planning and implementation and evaluation of activities.
• Regularly evaluate the recreational and lifestyle activity programs and develop new and/or additional services in accordance with the changing needs of the resident caseload.

 

Successful candidates should exhibit a positive, motivated attitude and demonstrated knowledge and skills in diversional and recreational activities for older frail aged residents who may have deficits in any / all facets of health and wellbeing. Creativity, imagination and the ability to engage with residents and staff to create a positive environment will be highly valued.

Candidates should be aware that residents have varied physical, mental and cognitive deficits that may significantly impact on their ability to engage in lifestyle activities.
