Ambulance Victoria (AV) is seeking a data management professional to join its high performing Transformation and Strategy Division as a Senior Manager Data Solutions.

The role is a full-time permanent appointment and is based in Blackburn, Victoria (will involve a combination of working from home and onsite).

The Senior Manager Data Solutions role is responsible to for the management of the Business Intelligence and Integration functions at Ambulance Victoria. The role is responsible for the management of the data to ensure the integrity and provision of the platforms needed to facilitate the data driven decision making, reporting, and analytics.

 

About the role

As an expert in data analysis and management you are a business focused professional. In this role, you will build and maintain the data products and assets to uplift the maturity of an integrated data management practice enabling the transformation.

You will review and analyse existing data and integration platforms for effectiveness and efficacy and develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.

As a key member of Enterprise Solutions leadership team, your key responsibilities include,

Developing AV’s enterprise Business Intelligence platforms and solution roadmap

  • Managing the development of detailed design documentation for new solutions, overseeing product evaluations, and proof of concepts where required
  • Work closely and inform the business about technical solutions that will support the broader business agenda and facilitate the delivery of existing strategic programs
  • Direct the design and implementation of data models and their interfaces for enterprise-level applications and systems
  • Assist in the development of the future direction of the Application Integration Platform and Enterprise Data Warehouse

 

About you

To be successful in the role of Senior Manager Data Solutions, you will need to have an extensive contemporary knowledge and experience in areas of data solutions management.  You will have a tertiary qualification in management, ICT management or a related discipline.

Specific experience and capabilities needed for this role include:

  • A self-motivated Data Professional that can build a high performing team and strong business relationships
  • Proven experience in data management, data architecture and design
  • Proven ability to communicate complex concepts to others possessing a broad range of varying technical competencies.
  • Proven track record in implementing enterprise toolsets and integrating technologies into data platforms
  • Experience administering and using source-control, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD), and/or containerised applications.
  • Leadership: 7+ years of experience in Data leadership and has led teams through positive change
  • In-depth experience using Azure Devops and Microsoft Azure data analytics ecosystem

The AV grade salary range for an AV6 position is $144,341 to $165,712 plus 10% superannuation.  In accordance with AV’s enterprise agreement, ADO, salary packaging and leave loading are available to permanent employees.
