Marlene is a Certified Fraud Examiner and member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) with over 25 years experience in financial services. Growing up during an apartheid regime in Sourth Africa resulted in Marlene having a deep sense of justice and sparked her passion in fighting financial crime. Her career into financial crime evolved over the last 15 years when she moved to Melbourne from South Africa. She is actively involved with other organisations in the superannuation industry in leading financial crime disruption. She is currently the Fraud and AML Officer at Aware Super and responsible for financial crime risk management at the enterprise level.
