The Corporate Management Group (CMG) leads corporate strategy, operations and change for the Australian National Audit Office. CMG provides strategic services and frameworks to ensure the efficient operations of the Australian National Audit Office.

CMG leads and supports a culture of continuous improvement, with innovative approaches to business processes that are fit for purpose, create value, and improve productivity across the Australian National Audit Office.

CMG provides services in the following areas to enable the delivery of the Australian National Audit Office’s purpose: human resource management, financial and business management, governance, communication, culture, digital.

 

The Australian National Audit Office has an exciting opportunity for an APS 6 Senior Systems Officer in the Business Applications (BA) team. The team is responsible for implementing new software and delivering system upgrades, maintenance and process improvements to existing business applications. These applications include:

  • Saviom enterprise resource planning tool;
  • Aurion human resource management information system with Timekeeper module;
  • TeamMate audit management tool; and
  • TechnologyOne financial management information system.

 

The key duties of the position include:

Under limited direction, the APS 6 Senior Systems Officer works across business applications to support business groups. Duties include:

  • working closely with internal and external stakeholders to implement new software, and deliver upgrades and process improvements;
  • supporting the oversight and maintenance of the Australian National Audit Office’s Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes that transfer data between systems; and
  • providing support to users by developing training material and user guides and run training sessions.

 

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • detailed knowledge and experience with some or all of the business applications in use such as: Saviom, Aurion Timekeeper, TeamMate and TechnologyOne;
  • experience in stakeholder engagement with a strong client focus;
  • demonstrated project management skills, and experience implementing new software;
  • ability to develop training material and user guides;
  • excellent communication skills with the ability to present to an audience;
  • experience working with extract, transform, load (ETL) processes;
  • effective problem solving and influencing skills;
  • excellent attention to detail;
  • demonstrated data analysis skills;
  • effective time management and organisational skills; and
  • ability to think strategically, aligning the team’s work with business needs and agency goals and objectives.

Please note that the successful candidate may be required to work extended hours during peak periods, where flex or overtime will be accrued.

 

Eligibility:

Mandatory qualifications – There are no mandatory qualifications for this role.

Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the Australian National Audit Office, applicants must be Australian citizen.

Security Clearance – The Australian community requires the highest level of integrity from Australian National Audit Office employees. The preferred applicant will be required to obtain and maintain an AGSVA security clearance.
