This position will manage the Data Services unit using Comcare’s DevOps methodology to support Comcare’s enterprise database environments including a data warehouse.

The successful candidate will have significant experience working with Oracle and MSSQL databases, the capability to oversee the architecture, development and use of data systems, as well as strong technical management skills.

Awareness of a range of supporting disciplines, including business analysis and analytics is also desirable as is experience working in the establishment and migration of data to a cloud environment. They will also be able to manage a small team with diverse skills supporting the data environment holistically.

The successful candidate will have sound business judgement and possess the relevant skills to manage competing priorities across a wide range of work requests. They will be detail-oriented and professional in their presentation, able to interact with staff at all levels and in all parts of Comcare while representing and communicating the scope and nature of activities undertaken by the Data Services unit.

The role requires you to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide trusted advice on how to achieve their objectives.You will also lead the technical development, implementation and maintenance of Comcare’s data platforms.

Eligibility

Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance is required for the role.

Mandatory Experience: Minimum of 4 years of Data Engineering and Migration experience in one or more of the following areas (individual areas or combined experience): Cloud Data Modernization, Data Engineering, Data Platforms, Data Integration, Data Migration, Data Strategy, Data Architecture, Data Modelling.
