As the Principal you will have responsibility for the following:

  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.

  • Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.
  • Manage resources to achieve goals.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Models and leads an expectation that every teacher can teach and every student can learn
  • Demonstrated leadership of curriculum, teaching and learning that is transferable to a P-6 context
  • Demonstrated ability to lead inclusive practices in a P-6 context
  • Ability to sustain positive community relationships that have been developed at a leadership level
  • Ability to actively participate and collaborate in a Principals’ PLC in multi-modal environments

A mandatory requirement of this role is:

  • Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland.  Information on registration requirements is available at www.qct.edu.au
