New Cybersecurity Chief

Australia Post will appoint Adam Cartwright as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) starting next month, following the departure of long-serving security head Glenn Stuttard.

Cartwright, who is currently the Group General Manager of Cyber Security and Risk at Asahi Beverages, previously held senior roles as Deputy CISO at Commonwealth Bank and Head of Cyber Security at ANZ Banking Group.

An Australia Post spokesperson confirmed the upcoming leadership transition.

“Following 11 years with Australia Post, Glenn Stuttard has decided to leave the business,” the spokesperson said.

“Australia Post is pleased to confirm Adam Cartwright will join in August as chief information and security officer.

“Adam will bring a wealth of expertise to Australia Post from his time in cyber security across multiple industries.”

Stuttard revealed his departure in a LinkedIn post last week.

“Today I bid farewell to Australia Post after a rewarding 11.5-year journey, with the last 4.5 years as CISO,” he wrote.

“It’s been a journey marked by milestones, and I take immense pride in the accomplishments we’ve achieved as a team to safeguard one of Australia’s most trusted brands.”

Stuttard said he would “recharge before exploring new horizons.”
