New CEO For Suburban Rail Loop Authority

A new Chief Executive Officer has been appointed to lead the Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA).
Minister for Suburban Rail Loop Jacinta Allan announced Frankie Carroll will take up the position of CEO on 27 January 2021.
CEO Frankie is a highly regarded senior executive with 30 years’ experience in the private and public sectors in major infrastructure and finance. He joins SRLA from the Queensland Public Service where he recently held the position of Under Treasurer, leading the Queensland Treasury.
Formerly Director-General of Queensland’s Department of Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning, Mr Carroll was responsible for the delivery of planning reforms and infrastructure across Queensland.

With experience as Chair and Director of Brisbane’s Cross River Rail Delivery Authority, he has a deep understanding of city-shaping infrastructure and mega-project delivery.
CEO Frankie was also Director of Trade and Investment Queensland, Director of Building Queensland and Chair of Economic Development Queensland. He previously held the role of Chief Executive Officer of Queensland Water Infrastructure, where he delivered major water storage facilities across south-east Queensland.
Prior to joining the Queensland Government, CEO Frankie had a successful career across the Australian and international financial services sectors.
He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Charter Accountant of Australia and New Zealand, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Member of the Association of Institute of Taxation in Ireland.
Frankie Carroll joins SRLA as planning and development for Stage One of the Suburban Rail Loop ramps up, with design and pre-construction works underway ahead of the start of construction in 2022.
Expressions of Interest are currently open for the delivery of the first phase of works on Stage One – the biggest ever Initial and Early Works package on an Australian infrastructure project. Interested parties have until 29 January, 2021 to submit tenders.
“Frankie Carroll brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the Suburban Rail Loop at an important time in the development and delivery of this transformative project, ” Minister for Suburban Rail Loop Jacinta Allan said.
“The Suburban Rail Loop team has a big task ahead as we get on with early works to get this massive project underway,” Minister Jacinta said.
