Kodak Alaris's new scanners to help customers with digital transformation

Kodak Alaris has launched two new models of their S3000 Max Series, Kodak S3120 Max and Kodak S3140 Max, to help organizations utilise their information faster.

The new scanners are said to combine high-volume capacity with the simplicity and compact size of a desktop unit, making them ideal for document-heavy processes for quicker and more accurate conversion of paper-based information into business-critical data.

“The global pandemic has proven that digital transformation is a powerful enabler of long-term success and resilience,” Kodak Alaris’s Product Marketing Manager Joe Odore said.

“As organizations worldwide continue to advance their DX strategies, they demand powerful, productivity-boosting and secure capture technologies to support their continuous innovation. We’ve designed the S3000 Max Series Scanners to address the capture challenges our customers are facing now, and to enable them to digitize workflows and process digital data in an automated and intelligent way.”

The new Kodak S3120 Max and Kodak S3140 Max Scanners are easy to set up and use without IT support, allowing operators to personalize workflows with Smart Touch software that is capable of configuring up to twenty different scan jobs to suit specific scanning needs with one-touch simplicity.

Users can quickly digitize physical data and get it into enterprise applications such as ERP or CRM systems with a high degree of accuracy, and easily scan documents into on-site or off-site applications and file repositories such as cloud services.

The S3000 Max Series is also versatile in its media handling capabilities, enabling operators to scan multiple batches at once while speeding up post-scan processing. Its Advanced Intelligent Document Protection (IDP) and multi-feed detectors can catch paper feeding problems to ensure all documents are scanned without damage or skipped pages, safeguarding valuable data and further improving efficiency.

The new scanners also have built-in barcode reading for fast and accurate read results every time, and Perfect Page technology for superior image quality while scanning at rated speeds. It also offers enterprise-class security features like Secure Boot, which validates firmware before it executes, and supports enterprise security protocols for scanning over networks such as TLS Encryption and HTTPS.

The new models build on the company’s award-winning S3000 Series Scanners that have brought success to healthcare, logistics, banking, education, and government markets. Kodak Alaris is a leading provider of enterprise data capture solutions that simplify business processes.
