NVIDIA and Snowflake announced their strategic alliance to help businesses utilise generative AI applications. This will help store business data form startups and large-scale companies securely in the Snowflake Data Cloud.

For this to happen, the NVIDIA NeMo™ will develop large language models (LLMs) and GPU-accelerated computing. This will allow companies to use the data in their Snowflake accounts and make customised LLMs like chatbots, search, and summarisations.

NVIDIA and Snowflake collab shaping the future

According to Snowflake Chairman and CEO Frank Slootman, this partnership promises to provide high-performance and productive machine learning AI. This technology will be directed to mainstream and structure enterprise data. If everything goes well, this can put them into the frontier of the competitive global business.

Meanwhile, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, shared that this AI collaboration with Snowflake paves the way for groundbreaking applications straight from the data in their cloud platform. This helps businesses run their operations smoothly even if their data are hundreds of terabytes to petabytes of raw and sensitive business information.

This AI integration allows customers to create, utilise, and manage customised applications across various business sectors. Using a Data cloud also enables businesses to make a generative AI application in their existing data, so they don’t have to start from the top and spend financially but still maintain data security.

As of April 30, 2023, Snowflake has already empowered about 8,000 customers worldwide. This allows users to unite, integrate, and share their data across various platforms, partners, and suppliers. Furthermore, these customers can also make and share top data applications at a comprehensive pace via the Data Cloud.

The Gen AI unified platform is helpful to industry-specific Data clouds like media and entertainment, advertising, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and CGP, technology, and telecommunications. For instance, a healthcare insurance model could provide complex answers regarding the procedures covered by different policies. Based on various factors, a financial services model could also provide information about specific lending options offered to retail and business consumers.

In addition, Snowflake launched the Government and Education data cloud to help the public sector make data-driven decisions.

Overall, the NVIDIA and Snowflake collaboration will help businesses further revolutionise their operations by utilising the Data Cloud to deliver tailored generative artificial intelligence applications to various industries.
