Ferra Engineering has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dynamatic Technologies, further enhancing scale and capabilities in Australia and India’s strategic aerospace manufacturing. 

“I commend Ferra for securing partnerships with prestigious customers in India like Dynamatic Technologies,” Queensland Treasurer and Minister for Trade and Investment Cameron Dick said. 

“Partnerships with global defence giants like Boeing and Dynamatic Technologies strengthen Queensland’s advanced manufacturing capabilities. Supporting companies like Ferra further diversify Queensland’s economy and builds on our existing skills base.”

The MoU with Dynamatic Technologies, a global contributor to the aerospace industry, will help Ferra Engineering in leveraging their partner’s strong links with defence and aerospace Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in India and around the world for their benefit. 

“Succeeding in these opportunities allows for strengthening of our industrial base within our Indian subsidiary and expanding out to the wider Ferra Group,” Group Chief Executive Ferra Engineering Australia David Rogers said. 

“Thanks to support from the Queensland Government, we can further boost defence manufacturing capabilities for a range of upcoming projects, including delivering against the new MoU with Dynamatic Technologies.” 

According to Rogers, Ferra Engineering’s increased manufacturing capability, in-house engineering services and assembly setup has allowed it to support more end-to-end services to its global customers. 

Expanding Ferra’s capabilites in India also fortifies the company’s manufacturing base in support of Australian programs which are delivered from their homebase in Queensland. 

“Trade and Investment Queensland relationship with Ferra is well established having assisted the company to achieve several export outcomes in markets like the UK,” Rogers said.

Queensland Treasurer and Minister for Trade and Investment Cameron Dick was present to witness the MoU signing in Ferra’s Bengalaru operations during his India Trade Mission. 

Minister Dick recently visited Ferra’s headquarters in Brisbane to inspect the company’s progress manufacturing components for Boeing’s autonomous MQ-28A Ghost Bat aircraft. 

Ferra, which specialises in the design, manufacture, and maintenance of complex electromechanical subsystems and structures primarily for defence, commercial and military aviation, and other industries, was founded in 1992. Its headquarters are in Brisbane with offices in the United States and India.
