Computer manufacturing company Allied Corporation will be expanding its operations in Adelaide thanks to its new global headquarters, further increasing its workforce with 75 new staffing positions.  

The leading computer company’s expansion is expected to make it one of Australia’s largest PC manufacturers as its new global headquarters is equipped with the capacity to produce 100,000 computers a year for domestic and international markets.  

Allied Corporation is currently in advanced discussions with the South Australian Government regarding the location of its new headquarters. 

“A lot of people think there isn’t much of an opportunity for high-tech computer manufacturing in Australia but we’re proving these doubters wrong,” Allied Corporation’s Chief Executive Aron Saether-Jackson said.  

“Our products are in demand all over the world. We make high-spec computers for gamers, for governments, for businesses who demand high performance and value.” 

The establishment of a new headquarters for Allied Corporation is part of the South Australian Government’s plan to expand its manufacturing sector. 

SA Premier Peter Malinauskas said the South Australian Government deliberately put in place policies that will allow high-tech manufacturing to thrive in South Australia.  

“A lot of people have heard me talk about how we need to turbocharge our high-tech industries in South Australia,” he said.  

“The first step is as a government, we prioritise local procurement. South Australian companies should be at the front of the queue when we’re spending money as a government.” 

Mr Saether-Jackson lauded the SA Government’s efforts towards building the state’s high tech manufacturing sector.

“Prioritising the skills of the future means we can invest, knowing we’ll have workers with the right training coming online when we need it,” he said.

“We’re in a race for the jobs of the future and we welcome the vision of the government, and its policies that prioritise procurement from SA-based firms over companies from overseas.”

The computer manufacturing company currently operates in three facilities across Adelaide’s western suburbs, building high-tech computers for clients across Australia, North America, Europe and South-East Asia.  

Aside from building high quality personal gaming computers, Allied also produces highly specified hardware for other organisations such as US-based defence and space industry groups.
